Fall Sports Start Strong

Football - This past Wednesday the Varsity travelled up the road to St. Francis Episcopal for a controlled scrimmage. The scrimmage went well. No score was taken, but John Hebert ran in two long touchdowns, and Gabe Graham scored a receiving touchdown. The WA defense gave up only a few passing plays, but overall the boys did well against the run and SFEDS in general.

The JV played on Tuesday St Francis' JV in a regular game. The JV team really looked good. The Green Jays passed and ran the ball well. The lone touchdown needed to win came on a first-half, last-second 80-yard-run by QB Zander Hoover. Both QBs, Hoover and Wyatt Rutherford, threw really well and were effective running the ball. Charlie Madden had a good game running the ball as well. JR Spring had two big receptions, and Rocco Sandulache had two solid catches. Dillan Dyall scored the extra point on a sweep play. The Green Jay defense was great as usual giving up just a few long runs and passes but no scores. Great job, boys!
