Dreaming about some Country Music!

Walker Glueck (’18) is the third of four Glueck boys to graduate from Western over the years. Walker works full-time at his family’s former landscape supply business in Katy, which helps fund his passion for country music.

Walker says his musical influences are Zack Bryan, Tyler Childers and Taylor McCall (North Carolina). Walker has begun playing in venues around town, most recently in Schulenburg, singing his originals and covers. Walker began writing songs this year and now has five he is gradually recording.

Walker keeps up with Mr. Whitebread and with Mr. Keenley at Western, where he learned to play a mean trumpet and began playing guitar.

Who knows, will he be in the opener band for Go Western this year? He’s got the swag, that’s for sure!

Walker’s family hails from Sealy, Texas, and Walker has played gigs in Schulenburg.
