Dr. Mark Bing - R.I.P.

Dr. Mark Bing, father of Elliot Bing (‘12), passed away on Saturday, January 9.

Mark and his wife, Kelly, were a founding parents of Western in 2010 and Mark was a truly great man. Dr. Bing succeeded his father his internal medicine practice and as team doctor of the Katy Tigers Football Team, many times State Champions. Mark was very well-known in the Katy community.

After attending Western for 7th and 8th grade, Elliot graduated in Western’s first graduating class in May 2012. After high school, he became a certified small engine plane pilot and works for Gulf Coast Helicopters flying single engine planes checking out pipeline integrity in Texas.

Dr. Bing struggled with a long term illness and died a holy and peaceful death with his family in Katy. Western honors the life of this great sportsman, faithful Christian, husband and father!
