Young Man on a Mission

Carlos Cerda (‘14) recently stopped by Western while raising support in Houston this summer. After graduating from Strake Jesuit and Benedictine College (KS), Carlos has been serving full-time as a Catholic missionary with Saint Paul’s Outreach (SPO) for the past three years. SPO forms college students into lifelong missionary disciples through intentional outreach, community, formation.

This year, Carlos is stepping into a new leadership role as Fraternity Coordinator at the University of Minnesota, helping launch a Catholic men’s fraternity rooted in brotherhood, prayer, and mission. It’s a bold initiative aimed at restoring authentic masculinity and faith-driven leadership on campus.

As a missionary, Carlos raises 100% of his salary through the support of mission partners, who are individuals and families who believe in this vision and want to be part of it. He mentioned that If anyone interested in supporting Carlos, here is where to learn more and help.

Carlos says he would enjoy connecting with any Western families or grads interested in hearing more. You can reach him here.
