Another Old Boy to Benedictine College

Collin England (’18) will attend Benedictine College, in Kansas, to study Philosophy and Economics. He received the Presidential Scholarship, a four-year full scholarship awarded based on an interview and essay competition. According to Collin, during the interview he spoke at length about Western Academy. Evaluators were interested in his work at Western Summer Camps, in particular, his experience at Dangerous Boys Camp and Survival Camp. He ended up with a perfect score on the interview and received 199 points out of 200 on the Essay. The essay was evaluated for thought process, content, writing style and grammar.

Mrs. England (mother of Collin, Garrett (’16), John Paul (’22) and Faculty member, Mitch England), weighs in...We are grateful for his education at Western. I believe he was challenged academically and in his character, giving him the confidence to compete and win in such a prestigious award!
