As summer comes to an end, our grass-fed beef reaches peak quality. This is one of the best times of the year to be a rancher (or a cow). The grass is the greenest and lushest it has been all year, thanks to the intense sunlight and lots of rainfall these days.

Our beef is great all year long, but it is the best when harvested after a long summer of perfect cattle conditions. That means now is the best time to try it!

Coonhound Puppies

Unrelated to producing beef, we adopted three adorable Redbone Coonhound puppies. We found them along the side of the road, malnourished and skinny. Thankfully they have been gaining weight and becoming very healthy! Their natural Coonhound instincts make them howl and bark a lot a night. The abundant wild critters here in the country continue to intrigue them. They're doing a great job keeping watch over the farm.
