2021 College Graduates
This May, several of our Old Boys graduated from college. Western's Class of 2013 was only the second class of our graduates in the short history of our School, so they are among our first.
Here is the early news about a few of our graduates. We will update this article as more news comes in.
Stefan Niño (WA ‘12) graduated from the University of Houston with a five-year degree in Architecture & Design and a minor in Construction Administration. Stefan achieved a remarkable triple recognition of Magna Cum Laude, Honors College Medal and Honors Thesis. Stefan was the only member of his class to achieve all three. Stefan will be working in Houston this year.
Luke Pelletier graduated from University of Dallas with a degree in Philosophy and minor in Business. Luke is now working at Fidelity Investments in Dallas.
Gabriel Joseph graduated from Trinity University with a degree in Psychology and plans for graduate school in Clinical Psychology.
Pablo Ginebra graduated from Texas A&M in Computer Science and is working at JP Morgan now in the IT area.
Garrett Kindle graduated in May, 2020 from University of Manchester (UK) in Int’l Business, Finance & Economics (Honors) and now works as Ass’t General Manager at Wolverine Plastics in Pittsburgh.
Luis Vera graduated from Rice University and now works at Bill.com.
David O’Bar graduated Magna cum Laude in Theater from the University of Houston. David is seeking work with a film or theater group. This past year, David assisted Western’s theater efforts choreographing scenes for The Crimson Isle spring show. David also assists our Maintenance Crew at Western.

Due to last year’s disruptions, some of our young men delayed college for a year and plan to graduate in the coming year. Among them are Miguel Caranti, studying Physics at Princeton University and Robert Corso at Texas A&M.
Joseph Gutierrez will graduate in December at Texas Christian U, and Felipe Vilalta will graduate from Texas A&M in MIS and continue with a Masters, also in MIS, in the spring.
Michael Gurch (WA ‘12) is completing his final year of a degree in MIS and Japanese at University of Texas, combining it with a “year abroad” course at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. Michael’s interesting international adventures after leaving Western appear here.
Edmund Carroll will graduate in Political Science from the University of Houston this December. Edmund has been working part-time with Western Maintenance and planning on a teaching career… a future Western faculty perhaps?
