HS State Wrestling Champions!
Several boys medaled at the TAPPS High School State Wrestling Championship in Dallas on April 10. All of these young men began their wrestling careers at Western under the able tutelage of Adam Thompson. Congrats to these scrappy young men pictured below!
113 lbs - Colton Ritchey (St. Thomas HS) - 2nd place (Colton broke his arm during match!)
132 lbs - Dominic Considine (St. Thomas HS) - 2nd place
170 lbs - Harrison Heard (St. Thomas HS) - 2nd place
195 lbs - Roman Ochoa (St. Thomas HS) - Champion!
As a side note, Roman Ochoa won his match with a sudden victory during the first overtime, 8-6. This was one year after earning a silver medal in the same weight class.
