First Old Boy Faculty Intern

Rafael Bello (Class of 2014) made history this week by becoming our first graduate Faculty Intern. This year, Rafael teaches Music, Art and PE in the Lower School, as well as Chess & Strategy in the Middle School. Rafael was a founding student of Western as a 5th grader. Since then, Rafael has attended University of North Texas and will be finishing at University of Houston with a Music Education/Vocal Performance degree. Last year, he taught elementary school in Cypress Fairbanks School District. Here is a quick quote from our newest faculty member:

I’m happy to be back home it feels like I’m back with family. I’m honored and excited to return to work at Western and share my passion for music and education with the students and faculty here.”
