Old Boys off to College, at Founding Roots Dinner

A great group of our 2015 graduates attended Founding Roots Dinner at the Junior League in April. It was a wonderful moment for the boys to gather in such an elegant venue with 270 parents and friends of Western.

Alvaro Directo, representing his classmates, offered some words about his experiences at school, here’s a brief excerpt:

But that’s the beauty of the freedom at Western. Yes, it is a place where boys can be boys—where you have the freedom to do extraordinary things; where the seeds of wonder are sown—but in a different sense, this freedom also allows you to make a mistake and learn from it. And I valued that. Falling down and getting up again, I was able to not only develop authentic moral virtues, but I began to truly desire the good in a natural way. As a boy.
