Student Earns Academic Accolades

WA student, Mason Abrell, was recently honored by the Duke University 7th Grade Talent Identification Program for his exceptional SAT score.

As part of the talent program, Mason was invited to take an above-level college entrance exam to learn more about his abilities. His SAT score placed him in the top 2% of all Duke Talent Program 7th graders who took the SAT (top 10% of all high school Juniors and Seniors who took the SAT this year) and qualified him for the exceptional distinction of Grand Recognition by Duke University.

Mason was honored this week at the Annual Duke TIP State and Grand Recognition Ceremonies at Trinity University in San Antonio on May 17, where he was presented with both the Duke Scholar Medallion and the Duke Grand Recognized Scholar Medallion. Congratulations, Mason!
