Survival Camp

Beginner Survival Camp

Survival campers will learn the basics of how to survive in the wild with just a few standard tools. Boys will learn vital skills such as building a shelter, starting a fire, finding and sterilizing water, trapping and field dressing, foraging for edible plants and bugs and the practical science of navigation as well as how to get rescued. Campers will also learn basic first aid techniques. For Boy Scouts, survival camp provides a great opportunity in one short week to complete many activities that count towards Boy Scout merit badges.

Intermediate Survival Camp

Intermediate Survival Camp will build upon the knowledge and skills acquired in Beginner Survival Camp. Boys will learn more complex ways of building shelters and fires, finding and purifying water, trapping and field dressing and foraging for edible plants and bugs. Campers will advance their facility with safely using knives in various survival situations and with using knots and lashing for rescue purposes and building campsite structures.  More advanced first aid techniques will make up a key component of the camp. For Boy Scouts, survival camp provides a great opportunity in one short week to complete many activities that count towards Boy Scout merit badges.
