Corpus Christi Procession - May 8th, 2020

Start Time: 1:30 PM
Location: Western Academy Campus.

The Feast of Corpus Christi (Latin for "Body of Christ") is the Roman Rite liturgical solemnity celebrating the real presence of the body and blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, in the Eucharist— known as transubstantiation. At Western Academy, we are lucky to have our Lord present in the Eucharist permanently in the Chapel. And for this great Feast, we bring Him in procession through the school, so that with His presence he can bless everything we do at the school. Parents arrange flowers and decorate the alters where our Lord visits. The boys, parents, and staff create beautiful sawdust rugs for the procession. Come and experience this beautiful procession of the Blessed Sacrament walking throughout the campus.
